Luce della Vite Luce is one of Tuscany’s most iconic modern reds, born from the meeting of two legendary names: Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi. Crafted from Merlot and Sangiovese, it combines richness, structure and finesse in a style that has helped define a more contemporary expression of Tuscan winemaking.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Luce 2023 shows a deep, dark ruby colour that hints at its concentration and depth. The nose is refined and layered, with notes of blackberry and black cherry lifted by balsamic accents of eucalyptus and a subtle mineral edge of graphite. On the palate, it opens generously with supple fruit, balanced by fresh acidity and a polished, harmonious texture. The finish is long, persistent and elegant, with the structure to develop beautifully over time.

Production
Produced in Toscana IGT from Merlot and Sangiovese, the grapes undergo 25 days of skin maceration before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 24 months in split and bound oak barrels, with 90% new oak and 10% second-use barrels, giving it depth, complexity and refined integration of wood.

Food & Serving
This is a wine to pair with rich, flavourful dishes such as grilled or roasted beef, lamb, game, truffle pasta and aged cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C; decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended to allow the wine to fully раскрыть its aromatic complexity and silky structure.

Today, Luce remains one of the region’s most distinctive and admired prestige wines.
