Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass with a bright, finely persistent mousse, Cristal 2016 shows remarkable clarity and finesse. The nose opens with citrus peel, white flowers, and ripe stone fruit, followed by subtle notes of toasted almonds, brioche, and a delicate chalky minerality. On the palate, it is silky and taut, with vivid acidity framing a layered core of fruit and a long, elegant finish. The structure suggests excellent aging potential, with the wine expected to develop additional complexity and nuance over many years in bottle.

Production
Cristal 2016 comes from selected biodynamically cultivated vineyards in Champagne, where the interplay of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir brings balance, finesse, and structure. The 2016 vintage was shaped by a challenging spring and summer followed by a warm, dry end to the season, allowing the grapes to reach exceptional ripeness and equilibrium before harvest. Vinification is carried out with the precision expected of a prestige cuvée, preserving purity, texture, and aromatic detail.

Food & Serving
Best served chilled at around 8–10°C to highlight its freshness and elegance. Cristal 2016 pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as oysters, scallops, sashimi, lobster, turbot, and truffle-based cuisine, as well as simply to celebrate on its own. Decanting is generally not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help it open up fully.
