Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine is typically deep ruby in colour, hinting at its concentration and youth. The nose opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite, and warm spice, often lifted by floral and subtle earthy nuances. On the palate, Cabernet Sauvignon leads with structure and drive, supported by ripe Merlot for texture, while Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot add aromatic detail and complexity. Expect a full-bodied wine with refined tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, layered finish of dark fruit, tobacco, and minerality. The 2020 vintage has excellent ageing potential and should reward cellaring for many years.

Production
The grapes come from Saint-Julien in Bordeaux, where gravelly soils and excellent drainage help Cabernet Sauvignon achieve ripeness while preserving freshness and definition. The estate’s vineyard parcels are carefully managed to express the classically elegant style of the appellation, with harvests typically carried out by hand to ensure only healthy, fully ripe fruit is selected. Vinification is carried out plot by plot to preserve terroir expression, followed by ageing in French oak to build structure, complexity, and finesse.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, venison, or rich mushroom-based preparations. It also works well with aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for one to two hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and tannins to open up fully.
