L’Aventure Cuvee Estate 2019

L’Aventure Estate Cuvée 2019 is a bold, site-driven red from Paso Robles that brings together Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot in a powerful yet polished style. Known for its depth, structure, and layered complexity, it reflects the ambition and precision that have made L’Aventure one of California’s most respected Rhône-Bordeaux blend producers.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-violet color that hints at its concentration and richness. The nose is intensely aromatic, with blackcurrant, blackberry, cassis, violet, licorice, dark chocolate, smoke, spice, and subtle tobacco, all framed by well-integrated oak. The palate is full-bodied and expressive, delivering dense dark fruit, firm but polished tannins, and a vibrant line of acidity that keeps the wine balanced and focused. The finish is long and lingering, with mineral notes, spice, and dark-fruited depth. While it can be enjoyed now with proper aeration, it has the structure and concentration to age beautifully over the next several years.

Production
This wine is sourced from L’Aventure’s estate vineyards in Paso Robles, where warm California sunshine and distinctive terrain help produce ripe, concentrated fruit with natural intensity and freshness. The 2019 blend was vinified to preserve both power and finesse, then aged for around 15 months in a combination of mostly new French oak and one-year-old barrels, adding texture, spice, and complexity without overwhelming the fruit.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled beef, lamb, game, hearty stews, and rich, slow-cooked dishes, as well as aged, full-flavored cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C and decant for at least 1 hour before drinking to help the wine खुल fully and soften its youthful structure.
