Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, the 2019 Latour is concentrated and polished, with an аромат profile built around blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf, and subtle floral and earthy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and tightly structured, with layered dark fruit, refined tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish that speaks to its Pauillac pedigree. This is a wine built for the cellar. While already showing impressive balance and definition, it will continue to evolve over decades, developing greater complexity, silkier tannins, and more pronounced savory and tertiary notes with time.

Production
Produced in Pauillac on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Château Latour benefits from a terroir of deep gravel soils that provide excellent drainage and help the vines produce small, concentrated berries. The estate is renowned for meticulous vineyard management and careful selection, with harvests typically carried out plot by plot at optimal ripeness. Vinification is carried out with precision to preserve purity, structure, and the estate’s hallmark intensity, followed by élevage in French oak to refine the wine’s formidable frame.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with richly flavored dishes such as roast lamb, beef Wellington, venison, or duck breast, as well as truffle-based preparations and mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and decant for several hours if drinking young, though much greater complexity will emerge with bottle age.
