Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows an intense, deep ruby color with striking concentration. The nose is layered and refined, unfolding with blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, cedar, tobacco leaf, and subtle notes of violets, spice, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and tightly structured, with firm yet polished tannins supporting a core of black fruit, mineral accents, and savory complexity. Production
Château Latour’s vineyards lie on the famed gravelly soils of Pauillac, where excellent drainage and the proximity to the Gironde help moderate the climate and promote slow, even ripening. The estate is planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, and fruit is typically harvested parcel by parcel to preserve precision and site expression. Vinification is carried out with meticulous selection and traditional Bordeaux methods, followed by aging in French oak to refine structure and deepen complexity.

Food & Serving
This is a wine to serve with equally elegant and flavorful dishes such as grilled ribeye, roast lamb, venison, duck breast, or truffle-infused preparations. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for several hours if drinking young, though much of its potential is best appreciated with additional bottle age.
