Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine typically presents a deep ruby-purple color with impressive concentration. The nose opens with blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum, layered with cedar, graphite, violets and a subtle hint of spice from the Petit Verdot. On the palate, it is refined and composed, with firm but well-integrated tannins, fresh acidity and a long, savory finish. The 2019 vintage has the balance and backbone to age gracefully for many years, developing more complexity, earthy nuance and tertiary notes with time in bottle.

Production
Lagrange’s vineyards in Saint-Julien benefit from gravelly soils that drain well and help Cabernet Sauvignon ripen with precision and power. The estate works with careful parcel selection and harvesting at optimal maturity, followed by traditional Bordeaux vinification to preserve purity of fruit, structure and aromatic lift.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game dishes and hard cheeses such as aged Comté or Manchego. Serve at 16-18°C, and consider decanting for 1-2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to खुल up and show its full aromatic range.
