Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep, concentrated ruby color with impressive intensity. The nose is layered and refined, opening with dark plum, black cherry, violet, graphite, and subtle spice, while the palate is powerful yet beautifully controlled, combining rich fruit, firm structure, fresh mineral energy, and finely woven tannins.

Production
Lafleur is rooted in Pomerol’s prized gravelly and clay-rich soils, where the balance of drainage, warmth, and mineral expression helps produce wines of striking concentration and finesse. The estate is known for meticulous vineyard management and very selective harvesting, ensuring only the best fruit makes it into the final blend. Vinification is carried out with a focus on precision and preserving the natural character of the fruit and terroir.

Best enjoyed with dishes that can match its depth and structure, such as roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game, or truffle-based preparations. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for a few hours if opening young, though careful decanting is recommended to preserve its aromatic detail and elegance.
