The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and small proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, each parcel harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and sorted meticulously in the winery. Vinification is carried out in temperature‑controlled vats, with gentle extraction to preserve finesse and aromatic purity. The wine is then aged in high‑quality French oak barriques, predominantly new, in Lafite’s cellars, where élevage is tailored to the character of the vintage to enhance complexity without overwhelming the wine’s inherent delicacy.
