La Vis Gewürztraminer is a fragrant white wine that captures the expressive character of Trentino-Alto Adige. Made from 100% Traminer Aromatico, it reflects La Vis’s winemaking tradition, established in 1948, and the cooler alpine foothills that give this style its distinctive aromatic lift.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in colour with a bright, inviting sheen, this Gewürztraminer opens with an immediately aromatic nose of flowers and spice. Classic notes of clove and nutmeg lead the bouquet, while the wine’s floral side adds elegance and lift. On the palate, it is full-bodied and smooth, with a rounded, even texture that coats the mouth beautifully. The finish is generous and consistent, leaving a lasting impression of spice and aromatic intensity. It is best enjoyed while youthful for its fresh, vibrant expression, though the structure and richness can support short-term ageing.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Lavis, Pressano, and the lower Cembra Valley, grown at around 350 metres above sea level. The deep clay soils, formed mainly from silty deposits, contribute to the wine’s complexity and layered character. While no detailed vinification notes are provided, the wine clearly follows a style that preserves the grape’s natural perfume and richness.

Food & Serving
This Gewürztraminer is an excellent match for aromatic dishes such as Thai or Indian cuisine, lightly spiced seafood, roast pork, or soft cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to highlight its freshness and aromatics. Decanting is not necessary, but letting the wine breathe briefly in the glass can help open up its bouquet.
