La Clotte comes from a small, four-hectare vineyard rooted in the classic limestone and clay soils that define Saint-Émilion’s finest sites. These chalk-rich slopes contribute to the wine’s tension, lift, and distinctive mineral tannins. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand to ensure optimal ripeness and selection in such a small, quality-focused estate. In the cellar, traditional Bordeaux methods are used, with gentle extraction to preserve purity of fruit and finesse, followed by maturation in French oak barrels that adds depth and complexity without overwhelming the wine’s vibrant character.
