Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the polished, luminous elegance expected from long-aged Champagne, with a fine and persistent mousse. The nose unfolds with layers of ripe orchard fruit, honey, dried fruit, and gentle spice, gradually revealing more savory notes of brioche, toasted nuts, and subtle minerality. On the palate, it is silky and expansive, with a beautifully balanced interplay between maturity and freshness. Flavors of dried apricot, almond, pastry, and citrus peel lead into a long, refined finish marked by mineral tension and a delicate, lingering acidity. This is a Champagne with excellent aging pedigree, though it is already at a superb point for drinking.

Production
Krug Collection 1995 was made from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir sourced from Champagne, where the 1995 vintage benefited from favorable growing conditions and strong balance between ripeness and acidity. The wine was crafted with Krug’s meticulous attention to detail and then aged in the cellar for almost 30 years, allowing it to develop exceptional complexity, texture, and aromatic depth.

Food & Serving
This Champagne pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, roast poultry, truffle risotto, or aged hard cheeses. It also works wonderfully with rich canapés and delicate seafood preparations. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a few minutes in the glass can help the aromas open fully.
