Description

Koval Four Grain is a single-barrel American whiskey from Chicago, made with an unusual blend of oats, malted barley, rye and wheat. Bottled at 47% ABV, it offers a distinctive grain-led profile and the character of its individual barrel.

Distillation & Maturation
The whiskey is distilled from four grains: oats, malted barley, rye and wheat. It matures for around two years in new, heavily charred Minnesota oak barrels, then is bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). It is non-chill-filtered and contains no additives.

Serving Suggestions
Try it neat to explore the whiskey at its full strength, or add a few drops of water to open it up. It also works well in an Old Fashioned, where the spirit’s grain character can come through.

Distillery
Koval Distillery was founded in Chicago in 2008 by Robert and Sonat Birnecker. The independently owned distillery helped renew whiskey-making in the city and is known for producing small-batch spirits with carefully selected grains.
