Jordan Cold Fact Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is a fresh, characterful South African white that captures the distinctive personality of Stellenbosch Sauvignon Blanc. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it combines vivid fruit expression with a refined herbal edge, reflecting a winemaking tradition rooted in more than three centuries of viticulture in the region.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this 2023 vintage shows a bright, pale straw colour with lively green highlights. The nose opens with aromatic notes of blackcurrant leaf and ripe Cape figs, supported by a layered fruit profile and a subtle lift of sweet Provençal herbs. On the palate, it is crisp and expressive, balancing freshness with generous fruit depth and a clean, mineral-tinged finish. The wine’s structure suggests it will be best enjoyed young for its vibrancy, though it should hold well for a few years as the flavours knit together.

Production
The grapes for Jordan Cold Fact Sauvignon Blanc come from Stellenbosch, a region known for its varied terroir, cooling influences and excellent conditions for aromatic white wines. After destemming, the fruit remained on the skins for around six hours to enhance texture and flavour extraction, before being gently pressed in a pneumatic press. The juice was then cold-settled for two days and racked off before inoculation with selected yeast strains for a controlled fermentation that preserves freshness and varietal purity.

Food & Serving
This Sauvignon Blanc is a natural partner for goat’s cheese, fresh seafood, grilled white fish, asparagus, spring salads and light poultry dishes. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and there is no need to decant.
