Tasting Notes
Lonsblau Pinot Nero typically shows a bright, translucent ruby color in the glass, hinting at its refined and delicate style. On the nose, expect lifted aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, and subtle spice, with earthy undertones that add depth and complexity. The palate is usually graceful and finely textured, combining freshness with supple tannins and a juicy red-fruit profile. It should offer enough structure to develop well over the next few years, while retaining the vibrancy that makes Pinot Nero so appealing.

Production
This wine comes from a new 3-hectare west-facing vineyard on the left bank of the Judrio Valley, planted more than ten years ago. The site’s orientation and valley location help provide balanced ripening conditions for Pinot Nero, allowing for freshness, aromatic precision, and a refined tannic profile. The label also pays homage to the local landscape and culture, featuring the apse of a small nearby church painted in blue flowers by Giacomo Meneghini, known as Jacum Pitòr.

Food & Serving
Pair Jermann Lonsblau Pinot Nero 2020 with roasted poultry, duck breast, mushroom risotto, veal, or grilled salmon. Serve slightly chilled at around 14–16°C, and decant briefly if desired to allow the aromas to open, though it can also be enjoyed straight from the bottle.
