Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red color with impressive clarity. The nose opens with ripe red and dark berries such as cherry and blackberry, lifted by gentle spice and a subtle smoky note from the oak. On the palate, this is a medium- to full-bodied red with silky texture, integrated tannins, and lively acidity that keeps the wine fresh and precise. A mineral edge adds complexity to the fruit-driven core, while the finish is long, harmonious, and polished. It has the structure to age gracefully over the next several years.

Production
Made entirely from hand-harvested Pinot Noir grown in Meursault, Les Criots is produced with a strong respect for the land and for traditional Burgundian methods. The grapes are fully destemmed, undergo a short cold maceration, and ferment with native yeasts before maturing for around 12 to 16 months in barriques, including approximately 25 to 30% new French oak. This careful approach preserves purity while adding depth and subtle oak complexity.

This wine pairs especially well with roast poultry, duck breast, veal, mushroom dishes, and lighter game. It is best served at 15–17°C, and decanting for 20–30 minutes can help open up its aromatics, especially in its youth.
