Why shop with us?
Jean Gagnerot Meursault is a stylish white Burgundy that captures the finesse and elegance Meursault is known for. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it offers the kind of layered richness and precision that has made this appellation one of the most celebrated in Burgundy.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a beautiful golden-yellow color. The nose is inviting and fruit-driven, lifted by subtle notes of honey and hazelnut that add depth and character.
On the palate, it is round, dry, and silky, with a refined texture and a balanced, lingering finish that makes you want another sip. While already approachable, Meursault’s structure and concentration suggest it can continue to gain complexity with short-to-medium-term aging.
Production
Produced in Burgundy, France, this Meursault is made entirely from Chardonnay, the region’s signature white grape. The wine reflects the cool-climate terroir of Meursault, where limestone-rich soils and carefully tended vineyards help preserve freshness while building depth and texture.
Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for roasted poultry, creamy fish dishes, shellfish, lobster, and rich vegetarian dishes such as risotto or mushroom tart. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider decanting briefly if you want the aromas to open up more quickly.
Producer
Jean Gagnerot is a respected Burgundy producer associated with classic regional expression and a focus on finesse-driven wines. In a region renowned for its white wines, the house has built its reputation on delivering elegant, terroir-focused bottles that reflect the character of Burgundy with clarity and balance.
