Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an inky, almost opaque color that hints at its concentration. The bouquet unfolds with layers of red berry fruit, blackcurrant liqueur, blueberry, graphite, forest floor, white flowers, glowing charcoal, tobacco, milk chocolate, and tea. On the palate, it is rich and polished, with intense Cabernet Sauvignon structure balanced by finesse and a refined sense of detail. The finish is long and persistent, and while it is already superb now, it has the balance and concentration to age beautifully for up to 20 years.

This wine comes from Beckstoffer’s To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville, one of the most celebrated sites in Napa Valley, known for producing Cabernet Sauvignon with exceptional elegance and precision. The 2018 vintage was aged for 26 months exclusively in brand-new French oak barrels, a choice that adds structure, depth, and seamless oak complexity to the finished wine.

Best enjoyed with richly flavored dishes such as prime rib, grilled ribeye, lamb chops, or braised short ribs. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromatics and structure to fully open.
