Production
Château d’Issan’s vineyards are rooted in the gravelly soils of Margaux, where Cabernet Sauvignon thrives alongside Merlot, benefiting from the cool influence of the Gironde estuary and the tempering maritime climate. The grapes are typically harvested with careful parcel selection to preserve purity and ripeness, then vinified traditionally with attention to extraction, structure and aromatic detail before maturation in oak barrels to integrate the blend.

This wine pairs wonderfully with roast lamb, duck breast, beef fillet, game birds and earthy mushroom dishes. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for about 1 hour when young to allow the aromatics and tannins to open fully.
