Gulfi Neromaccarj is a striking organic Nero d’Avola from Sicily, crafted to show the grape’s depth, elegance, and unmistakable Mediterranean character. Born from the vision of Vito Catania and Salvo Foti, it brings together carefully chosen terroirs in Val di Noto to create a wine of real personality and regional identity.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it pours an intense ruby red with vivid purple reflections, signalling youth and richness. The nose is generous and layered, with aromas of ripe red berries, blackberry, and a subtle touch of vanilla that adds a polished edge. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fruit-driven, and harmonious, with impressive structure and a long, persistent finish. The wine balances power with freshness and should continue to develop gracefully over the next few years, gaining even more complexity with time.

Production
Made from 100% Nero d’Avola grown organically in Terre Siciliane IGT, the wine reflects the warm Sicilian climate and the characterful soils of Val di Noto. Gulfi selects its vineyards carefully to capture the best expression of the grape, with harvesting focused on optimal ripeness and vinification aimed at preserving purity, concentration, and balance.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, slow-cooked beef, roasted game, or rich pasta dishes with meat sauce. It also works well with aged cheeses and Sicilian-inspired cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes to let its aromas and structure open fully.
