Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Rosato Scalabrone 2025 is a refined Tuscan rosé from one of Bolgheri’s most respected estates, combining coastal freshness with the pedigree of Antinori. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, it reflects both the elegance of the Bolgheri terroir and the long winemaking tradition behind Tenuta Guado al Tasso.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Scalabrone shows a delicate, bright rosé hue with excellent clarity. The bouquet is fresh and inviting, with notes of red berries, citrus, and subtle floral tones, supported by a clean mineral edge that speaks to its coastal origin. On the palate, it is crisp, balanced, and supple, with juicy berry fruit, lively acidity, and a refined, dry finish. The blend gives the wine both brightness and gentle structure, making it highly enjoyable young, though it can hold its character well over the near term.

Production
The vines grow in the Bolgheri area of Tuscany, at 45–60 meters above sea level on soils with varying composition, shaped by a very mild maritime climate. Sea proximity and constant breezes help keep conditions healthy and sunny, while the grapes are harvested by hand in late August with selection carried out directly in the vineyard. Each variety is vinified separately: after destemming, the fruit is gently pressed and given a short maceration of 3–5 hours at low temperature, followed by fermentation in stainless steel at 16°C before the final cuvées are blended and bottled.

Food & Serving
This rosé is an excellent match for seafood, grilled prawns, light pasta dishes, summer salads, and antipasti, as well as mild cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to bring out its freshness and aromatic lift; decanting is not necessary.
