Description

Griesel & Compagnie Rosé Brut Tradition 2022 is a Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier sparkling wine from Germany’s Hessische Bergstraße, recognised with 93 points and third place in the rosé category at the 2025 VINUM German Sekt Awards. Its coral-pink colour, intricate bubbles and savoury, layered character make it a distinctive choice for lovers of expressive rosé Sekt.

Tasting Notes
A fine stream of bubbles rises through a salmon-pink hue. The complex nose brings together red fruits, cranberry, blood orange and rhubarb with notes of orange blossom, toasted bread, smoked paprika, coconut milk and peanut butter, followed by hints of tea and spice. On the palate, the mousse is fine and the texture is full-bodied, compact and well structured. Fresh acidity carries flavours of strawberry, red fruit, beeswax and savoury spice into a lively, mineral finish that lingers. No specific aging guidance is provided; enjoy it while its bright fruit and freshness are at their most vivid.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, to let its fruit and savoury detail show. Its brisk acidity and substantial texture suit smoked salmon, charcuterie, roast poultry, mushroom dishes or a selection of aged cheeses. Decanting is not recommended for this sparkling wine; open shortly before serving.
