Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine typically shows a deep ruby colour with bright youthful reflections. The nose is lifted and refined, offering red and black berries, cedar, graphite, violets, and subtle spice, with the kind of freshness and detail that suits the 2021 vintage. On the palate, it is poised and medium-bodied, with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a balanced core of cassis, cherry, plum, and mineral notes. The finish is graceful and persistent, and while already appealing in youth, it should also reward cellaring for added complexity over the next 10–15 years.

Produced in Margaux, one of Bordeaux’s most celebrated appellations, Giscours benefits from gravel-rich soils that favour Cabernet Sauvignon and help shape the wine’s aromatic precision and structure. The blend is crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, with careful vineyard management and parcel-by-parcel vinification to preserve purity, texture, and the identity of each site.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, duck breast, beef tenderloin, game birds, and dishes with mushrooms or truffle. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 1 hour if drinking young to allow the aromatics and tannins to open fully.
