Tasting Notes
Magari 2021 shows a deep, youthful color with a vibrant, concentrated core. The nose is layered and refined, with notes of dark berries, blackcurrant, ripe plum, herbs, graphite, and subtle spice, unfolding with time in the glass. On the palate it is supple yet structured, with polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a dense but balanced fruit profile. Cabernet Franc lends aromatic lift and freshness, while Merlot adds softness and Cabernet Sauvignon brings backbone and length. It has the concentration to develop beautifully over the medium to long term.

Produced by Gaja at Ca’Marcanda in Tuscany, Magari reflects a careful selection of fruit from vineyards shaped by warm Mediterranean days, cooling sea breezes, and well-drained soils that help preserve freshness and definition. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and vinified with precision to emphasize purity, texture, and varietal character, followed by maturation in oak to integrate structure and complexity.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs well with grilled lamb, beef fillet, roasted game, mushroom risotto, and rich pasta dishes. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 1 hour if enjoyed young to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
