Fratelli Antonio & Raimondo’s Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC MG 2022 is a vibrant, fruit-forward expression of Nebbiolo from Piemonte, offering impressive intensity and classic varietal character at an approachable level. Sourced from younger vines in the Barolo district and nearby vineyards outside Barolo, it brings together ripe fruit, structure, and a touch of regional heritage in one elegant red.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color with the lively brightness typical of Nebbiolo. The nose opens with generous dark fruit notes of blackberry and black plum, layered with licorice and a subtle earthy edge. On the palate, the wine is intense and mouth-filling, with firm acidity and pronounced tannins that give it real backbone. The fruit richness balances the structure well, leading to a long, persistent finish. While already appealing now, it should continue to develop nicely over the next few years.

Production
This Nebbiolo d’Alba is made from grapes harvested by hand from younger vines in the Barolo area as well as vineyards planted outside the Barolo zone. The fruit is carefully sorted again on arrival at the winery, then fermented at 28–30°C to extract color, flavor, and structure. The wine is aged for 18 months before bottling, including a minimum of 6 months in oak casks.

Food & Serving
A natural match for grilled lamb, marinated pork chop, and other savory meat dishes with some richness or char. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if you want to soften the tannins and let the fruit open up further.
