Fortemasso Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 offers an accessible introduction to Nebbiolo, the celebrated grape behind some of Piedmont’s most renowned reds. Made in the Langhe, where Nebbiolo has a long-standing place in the region’s winemaking tradition, it brings the variety’s characteristic freshness and structure to a youthful style.
Tasting Notes
Nebbiolo commonly shows a bright ruby colour that can develop garnet tones with age. Expect aromas of red cherry, raspberry and rose, often with hints of herbs or spice; on the palate, lively acidity and fine, noticeable tannins typically frame the fresh fruit. The 2024 vintage is likely best enjoyed while its fruit is youthful, though the wine’s precise ageing potential depends on its élevage and structure.
Food & Serving
Serve slightly cool, around 16–18°C, with roast poultry, mushroom dishes, charcuterie or pasta with a savoury tomato or meat sauce. A short rest in the glass should help open the aromas; decanting is optional, but a brief decant can soften the impression of young tannins.
