Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, this wine opens with an intense bouquet of ripe cherry, blackberry, and subtle toasted oak. The palate is layered and expressive, beginning with red cherry and raspberry before unfolding into darker berry fruit, firm structure, and a long, nuanced finish. There is impressive depth here, yet the wine remains refined and graceful, with a freshness that keeps it lively and focused. While already attractive, it has the concentration, tannic frame, and balance to age beautifully for many years.

Production
Vigna del Sorbo comes from a single hillside vineyard in the heart of Chianti Classico, ideally exposed to the southwest for optimal sun ripening and fruit concentration. The vines are around 40 years old, and fermentation is carried out spontaneously with indigenous yeasts at low controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks before the wine is matured for 24 months in oak, 50% of which is new.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for premium beef, especially grilled ribeye, bistecca Fiorentina, or slow-roasted short ribs. It also pairs well with game, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for about an hour to let the aromatics and structure open fully.
