Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Barolo shows a classic, deep garnet hue with the brightness and translucency typical of Nebbiolo. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of small red fruits, blackberries, and morello cherry, alongside the kind of subtle complexity that invites you back for another swirl. On the palate, it is full-bodied and polished, with sweet, well-integrated tannins, impressive balance, and a long, persistent finish. Production
This wine comes from vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba, one of the most prized communes in Barolo, where the Langhe landscape and soils help shape wines of depth and precision. Fontanafredda has been cultivating 120 hectares of certified organic vineyards since 2018, and this cuvée reflects a careful approach to vineyard work and vinification designed to preserve purity, elegance, and varietal character.
