Why shop with us?
Fleury’s Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut is a non-vintage Champagne made from Pinot Noir, offering a fruit-led expression of the region with a dry finish. It comes from a producer known for its longstanding commitment to biodynamic viticulture.
Tasting Notes
Expect a pale golden appearance with a fine stream of bubbles. The Pinot Noir style typically brings red-apple and orchard-fruit aromas, with a palate that balances ripe fruit, freshness and a crisp, Extra Brut finish.
As a non-vintage Champagne, it is ready to enjoy on release. Further ageing may bring more developed, savoury notes, though the bottle’s ideal cellaring potential will depend on its disgorgement and storage conditions.
Production
Fleury is based in Courteron in the Côte des Bar, an area known for its Pinot Noir-friendly soils and climate. The house is a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Champagne, having begun its conversion in 1989. Specific harvest and winemaking details for this bottling are not provided.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, with seafood, sushi, grilled white fish or roast chicken. Its dry, lively style also suits aperitifs and salty snacks. Decanting is generally unnecessary; allow the Champagne a little time in the glass to open.
Producer
Founded in 1895, Champagne Fleury is a family-run estate in the Côte des Bar. It became the first Champagne producer to convert its entire estate to biodynamic farming, beginning that transition in 1989, and is widely recognised for its role in advancing biodynamic practices in the region.
