Feudi San Gregorio Taurasi is a benchmark expression of Aglianico from Campania, showing the grape’s signature power with a refined, elegant edge. Produced in one of southern Italy’s most celebrated DOCGs, it combines depth, structure, and aromatic complexity in a style that has helped define modern Taurasi.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red color with garnet reflections. The nose is expressive and layered, unfolding with sour cherry, morello cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and a subtle touch of anise. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well balanced, with sweet, supple tannins and a long aromatic finish. The wine’s structure suggests excellent aging potential, allowing its dark fruit and spice-driven profile to develop further over time.

Production
This Taurasi is made from 100% Aglianico sourced in Campania, where volcanic and mineral-rich soils help shape the grape’s firm structure and distinctive character. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel tanks over approximately 3–4 weeks, followed by around 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barrels and at least 9 months of bottle aging before release.

Food & Serving
Ideal with rich meat dishes, braised beef, game, roast lamb, and aged cheeses, as well as hearty Italian cuisine such as ragù and mushroom-based pasta. Serve at 16–18°C, and decanting for about an hour is recommended to let the wine fully open.
