Description
Feudi San Gregorio’s Greco di Tufo Cutizzi Riserva is a standout expression of one of Campania’s most prized white grapes, showing the precision, minerality and character that have helped put southern Italy back on the fine-wine map. Sourced from the hills of Irpinia, it combines bright fruit, depth and a distinctly Mediterranean personality in a wine that feels both authentic and refined.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a yellow hue with golden highlights, hinting at both freshness and richness. The nose is intense and persistent, opening with green plum and pear, layered with the balsamic lift of mint and a subtle herbal edge.
On the palate, the wine is immediately defined by lively acidity and the pronounced minerality typical of the Greco di Tufo zone. It is vibrant yet structured, with a clear sense of tension and length; its firm backbone suggests excellent development potential over the next few years, and it should reward cellaring with added complexity.
Production
Made from 100% Greco di Tufo, this wine comes from the hillside vineyards of Irpinia in Campania, where the local terroir gives the grape its characteristic minerality and freshness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at 16–18°C, followed by 4–5 months of aging in stainless steel on the lees, with regular bâtonnage to build texture and complexity while preserving the wine’s crisp, pure profile.
Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine that pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled white fish, seafood risotto, Mediterranean vegetable dishes and lightly aged cheeses. Serve it well chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary; if desired, a short period in the glass will help the aromatics open further.
