Description

Ferrari Trento Maximum Rosé Brut is a refined Italian sparkling wine that showcases the elegance and energy of the Trentino mountains. Crafted predominantly from Pinot Nero with a touch of Chardonnay, it offers a vibrant, food-friendly style that’s both sophisticated and effortlessly enjoyable. As part of Ferrari’s renowned Metodo Classico range, this non-vintage rosé continues the estate’s long-standing tradition of making some of Italy’s most acclaimed sparkling wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Ferrari Trento Maximum Rosé Brut shines with a delicate, pale salmon-pink hue and a fine, persistent perlage that forms a soft, continuous bead. The nose is fresh and inviting, with aromas of wild strawberries, red currants, pomegranate and pink grapefruit, layered with hints of rose petals, fresh brioche and a subtle mineral note that reflects its alpine origins. On the palate, it is crisp, dry and beautifully balanced, with lively acidity and a silky mousse that carries flavors of ripe red berries, citrus zest and a touch of white peach. Notes of toasted bread and almond emerge on the finish, adding complexity and length. This rosé brut is designed to be enjoyed upon release for its vibrancy and freshness, but it can also develop a bit more finesse and autolytic character over the next 2–3 years in bottle.

Production
Ferrari sources the grapes for Maximum Rosé Brut from high-altitude vineyards in Trentino, where cool Alpine breezes and significant diurnal temperature shifts help preserve acidity and aromatic intensity. The soils are predominantly calcareous and sandy, contributing precision and minerality to the wine. Pinot Nero, vinified partly with a short maceration on the skins, provides color and red-fruit character, while Chardonnay adds structure and finesse. The grapes are hand-harvested to ensure optimal ripeness and quality, then gently pressed. This sparkling wine is produced using the traditional Metodo Classico, with secondary fermentation taking place in the bottle, followed by extended aging on the lees to build complexity, fine bubbles and a creamy texture before disgorgement and final dosage.

Food & Serving
Ferrari Trento Maximum Rosé Brut is exceptionally versatile at the table, making it ideal as both an aperitif and a partner for a wide range of dishes. It pairs beautifully with Italian antipasti, charcuterie, smoked salmon, tuna tartare, sushi, and prawn or crab dishes, as well as lighter poultry and herb-roasted white meats. It also complements soft cheeses and delicate Mediterranean cuisine. Serve well-chilled at around 6–8°C. While decanting is not necessary, pouring it into tulip-shaped sparkling wine glasses rather than narrow flutes will allow its aromas and flavors to fully open.

Producer
Founded in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari, the Ferrari winery is a pioneer of traditional-method sparkling wine in Italy and the benchmark name for Trento DOC. Inspired by the great sparkling wines of Champagne, Giulio recognized the potential of Trentino’s high-altitude vineyards and cool climate to produce wines of exceptional finesse and freshness. Over the decades, Ferrari has become one of Italy’s most awarded sparkling wine producers, gaining international recognition for the quality and consistency of its Metodo Classico wines. As a leading ambassador for Trentino Alto Adige, Ferrari has played a central role in establishing the region as one of Europe’s premier sources of elegant, mountain-born sparkling wines.
