Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Riesling shows a pale lemon color with green reflections, signaling freshness and youthful energy. The nose is vibrant and detailed, with notes of lime zest, green apple and white peach layered over wet stone, subtle herbs and a touch of floral lift. On the palate, it is dry, finely structured and linear, driven by a crisp, mouthwatering acidity that carries citrus and stone-fruit flavors across a saline, mineral backbone. Hints of grapefruit, crunchy orchard fruit and a delicate, almost smoky stoniness linger on the long, clean finish. This Riesling is sourced from the Frauenberg vineyard in Nieder-Flörsheim, a site characterized by its sloping exposures and mineral-rich soils that contribute to the wine’s tension and distinct stony character.
