Elio Ottin’s 2021 Petite Arvine offers a distinctive expression of an ancient, uncommon grape grown mainly in Italy’s Aosta Valley and Switzerland’s Valais. Ottin balances the variety’s naturally powerful, untamed character with a more harmonious touch.

Tasting Notes
The nose opens with a gently sweet impression of vanilla, followed by ripe greengage plum, white-fleshed peach and honeydew melon. White flowers, herbal hints and a stony, mineral edge add freshness and complexity.

Production
Petite Arvine is cultivated in the Aosta Valley, in Italy’s far northwest near the French and Swiss borders. The wine is aged in stainless steel for more than seven months; details of the vineyard site, harvest and vinification beyond this are not available.

Food & Serving
Try it with Alpine cheeses, grilled fish or seafood, or poultry with fresh herbs. Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C. A brief time in the glass should allow its layered aromas to emerge; formal decanting is not necessary.
