Elena Walch Schiava Alto Adige DOC 2022 is a beautifully light-footed red that captures the alpine elegance of Alto Adige. Made from one of the region’s most traditional red grapes, it offers an especially fresh, approachable style with delicate fruit, subtle almond notes, and outstanding drinkability.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear, bright ruby-red color. The nose is refined and inviting, with aromas of red berries and the variety’s hallmark hint of bitter almond, adding a quiet layer of complexity. On the palate, this is light to medium-bodied with a silky, understated texture and very soft tannins. Fresh acidity keeps the wine lively and balanced, while the pure fruit and dry, elegant finish make it especially easy to enjoy. Schiava is best appreciated young, when its fragrance and freshness are at their most expressive.

Production
The wine comes from Alto Adige, where calcareous soils and the strong contrast between warm days and cool alpine nights help shape wines of aromatic purity and natural freshness.
