Elena Walch’s 2023 Castel Ringberg is a rich, single-vineyard Pinot Grigio shaped by the limestone soils of one of the estate’s leading sites in Alto Adige. It offers a more layered, full-bodied expression of the grape, pairing ripe fruit and mineral character with the precision of Walch’s winemaking.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with an inviting floral aroma, followed by notes of ripe, expressive fruit. On the palate, it is broad and full-bodied, with precise fruit, mineral detail and lively acidity bringing balance and complexity. Its rounded texture softens the wine’s richness without diminishing its freshness.

Production
Castel Ringberg’s sun-exposed slopes and well-draining, limestone-rich soils provide the setting for this single-vineyard wine. It is fermented in stainless steel at 18°C and aged on its lees, a process that adds texture and complexity. Harvesting methods are not specified.

Food & Serving
Its freshness and generous texture make it a natural match for fish, especially oven-baked salmon, as well as other seafood dishes. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C. Decanting is generally unnecessary; opening the bottle shortly before serving should allow its aromas to emerge.
