Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Lagrein typically shows a deep ruby to dark garnet color with a concentrated core. The nose leans toward dark forest berries, black cherry, violets, and subtle spice, often complemented by hints of cocoa, herbs, and earthy minerality. On the palate, it is usually full-bodied and structured, with ripe dark fruit, firm yet polished tannins, and a fresh, energetic backbone that keeps the wine balanced. As a Riserva from a strong vintage, it should have good aging potential, developing greater complexity and silkier texture over time.
