Echo de Lynch-Bages is the second wine of the celebrated Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, offering a more approachable expression of one of Bordeaux’s most respected names. Tasting Notes
As expected from Pauillac, the wine should show a deep ruby colour with youthful brightness in the glass. The nose typically leans toward blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite, and a hint of tobacco, with the 2023 vintage likely adding a fresh, lively aromatic lift. On the palate, Echo de Lynch-Bages is usually medium to full-bodied, with firm but polished tannins, dark berry fruit, savoury cedar notes, and a mineral edge that reflects its Left Bank origins. The double magnum format is well suited to slow development, and this wine should age gracefully for several years, gaining complexity and softness with time.

Sourced from the vineyards of Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, the wine reflects the gravelly terroirs of the Left Bank, where excellent drainage and the nearby Gironde help moderate the climate. Grapes are typically harvested parcel by parcel at optimal ripeness, then vinified with careful extraction to preserve purity of fruit and the signature structure of the appellation. As a second wine, it is crafted to express the estate style with a slightly earlier-drinking profile than the grand vin.
