Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with youthful intensity. The nose opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco leaf, and subtle graphite, with a touch of spice and floral lift adding complexity. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, layered, and precise, with firm but refined tannins, fresh acidity, and a core of dark fruit framed by classic Pauillac minerality. The finish is long and disciplined, with savory notes of cassis, earth, and cedar lingering nicely. While already impressive in its youth, this vintage has the structure to develop beautifully over the next 10–20 years, gaining greater depth and complexity with time in bottle.

Production
Duhart-Milon is based in Pauillac on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, where gravelly soils and a temperate maritime climate provide ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The 2018 vintage benefited from a warm growing season, helping achieve ripe fruit and excellent concentration. Harvesting is typically carried out parcel by parcel to preserve freshness and balance, followed by careful vinification to extract color, structure, and aromatic purity while maintaining the wine’s elegant Bordeaux profile.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs especially well with roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game, and rich mushroom dishes. It also works beautifully with hard cheeses such as aged Comté or Mimolette. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to open up and show its full aromatic range.
