Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, this 2019 shows impressive density and clarity. The nose is poised and layered, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite, violets, and subtle spice, all framed by refined oak and the classic mineral edge of Saint-Julien. On the palate, the wine is concentrated yet beautifully composed, with ripe dark fruit, firm but silky tannins, and a long, elegant finish. It has the hallmark balance of the estate: power without heaviness, freshness without austerity. While already enticing in youth after proper cellaring, it has excellent aging potential and should evolve gracefully for many years.

Production
Sourced from the gravelly terroirs of Saint-Julien, the vineyard benefits from well-drained soils that encourage low yields and concentrated fruit. The blend is typically Cabernet Sauvignon-led, supported by Merlot and small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot depending on the vintage. Harvesting is carried out carefully by plot, followed by meticulous sorting and traditional Bordeaux vinification, with aging in French oak barrels to build complexity, texture, and longevity.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with classic red meat dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb rack, duck breast, or beef Wellington, as well as mushroom-based dishes and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and decant for 1–2 hours if enjoying it young; older bottles may require only a gentle decant to preserve their delicate aromas.
