Description

Dominus Estate 2023 is a generous, polished Napa Valley red, presented here in magnum format. A blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon, it balances the warmth of French oak with dark fruit and earthy complexity. Dominus has helped shape Napa’s modern wine history since its founding in 1983, bringing a distinctive Bordeaux perspective to the region.

Tasting Notes
The nose brings together black cherry, cedar and caramel, with earthy notes of rich soil adding depth. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and almost creamy, with concentrated dark fruit and velvety tannins. Its persistent, complex finish suggests good potential for further development in the cellar.

Production
The 2023 blend is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new French oak. The barrel influence lends notes of caramel and cedar, balanced by the wine’s fruit and earthy character. Vineyard terroir, harvesting methods and vinification details were not provided.

Food & Serving
