Dominus 2014 is a flagship Napa Valley red that captures the estate’s signature blend of power, finesse, and remarkable longevity. Crafted from a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend and sourced from one of California’s most celebrated vineyards, it reflects Christian Moueix’s long-standing commitment to dry farming and precision in winemaking. Already highly expressive, it also has the structure to develop beautifully for decades.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a dense plum, ruby, and purple hue, hinting at its concentration. The bouquet is layered and inviting, with aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco leaf, smoke, licorice, dried herbs, dark spices, and a touch of menthol and chocolate. The palate is plush yet focused, with ripe dark fruit, impressive depth, and a velvety mid-palate wrapped in fine structure. It feels both muscular and elegant, with excellent brightness and energy as it opens in the glass. Dominus 2014 is already drinking beautifully, but it has the balance and complexity to evolve for 20–25 years or more.

Dominus 2014 comes from Napa Valley, California, where the estate’s dry-farmed approach continues to define its identity and quality. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant, supported by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and the 2014 growing season produced fruit of notable concentration and freshness. Harvest was conducted early, with careful selection supporting a vinification style that emphasizes purity, layering, and age-worthy structure.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for fine cuts of beef, lamb, venison, grilled ribeye, truffle dishes, and slow-braised short ribs. It also pairs well with mature hard cheeses and savory mushroom-based dishes. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to fully раскры its aromatics and texture.
