Description

Dominio de Pingus Pingus 2024 is a rare, highly sought-after Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, made by Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck. Since its first vintage in 1995, Pingus has helped redefine the region’s potential, earning a near-mythic reputation among wine lovers and collectors for its tiny production and uncompromising focus on quality.

Tasting Notes
Deep and intense in colour, the wine opens with layered aromas of dark cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry and violet, followed by hints of liquorice, spice, graphite and crushed stone. The palate is concentrated yet remarkably elegant, with precise dark fruit, fine, silky tannins and lively acidity that bring freshness and balance.

Production
The grapes come from a handful of exceptional plots around La Horra, where very old Tempranillo vines express the character of Ribera del Duero’s terroir. Peter Sisseck works according to biodynamic principles, with very low yields and meticulous attention to detail; only the finest grapes make it into the final wine. Specific harvesting and vinification details are not provided.

Founded by Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck, Dominio de Pingus made its debut with the 1995 vintage and quickly became one of Spain’s most celebrated producers.
