Description

Dominio de Pingus Pingus 2022 is a rare, highly sought-after Tempranillo from Castilla y León, made in very small quantities from old-vine plots. The estate’s reputation for focused, low-intervention wines has made Pingus one of Ribera del Duero’s most celebrated names.

Tasting Notes
Expect a deep, concentrated appearance, with aromas and flavours typically associated with fine Tempranillo: dark berries and plum, layered with spice, savoury notes and finely judged oak. The palate is likely to be powerful yet composed, with firm tannins and a long finish; its structure should reward cellaring, though the precise drinking window depends on the 2022 vintage.

Production
The fruit is described as coming from Barroso and San Cristóbal, two plots totalling around 4.2 hectares and planted with vines more than 65 years old.
