Based in Meloisey in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, the domaine has earned a strong reputation for precise, terroir-driven wines crafted with a traditional touch.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a deep ruby hue, hinting at the concentration within. The nose opens with dark cherry, violet, subtle liquorice, and layered notes of forest floor and spice. The palate is firmly structured yet generous, with ripe tannins and a juicy core of dark fruit. Balanced acidity lifts the dense fruit profile, while the finish is dry and persistent, marked by mineral nuances and a touch of bitter chocolate. It can be enjoyed now for its energy and depth, but will also reward a few years of cellaring as the structure softens and the aromatic complexity expands.

Production
The fruit comes from several parcels around Nuits-Saint-Georges, where limestone and marl soils, along with varying exposures, bring both tension and depth to the wine. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by careful sorting, and fermentation may include a proportion of whole clusters depending on the character of the vintage. The wine is fermented spontaneously and then aged for around 12 months in French oak barrels, with a moderate share of new oak to preserve freshness and fruit expression.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roasted duck, game birds, braised beef, mushroom dishes, and richly flavoured poultry. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if drinking young to allow the aromatic layers and tannins to open fully.
