Tasting Notes
In the glass, this 2021 shows the elegant transparency you expect from top Volnay, with a bright, refined color and a youthful energy. The nose is very pure and open, offering fragrant red cherries, wild strawberries, and delicate hints of wilted rose petals. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and focused, with a supple yet persistent grip that gives the wine more structure than many in the appellation. There is a subtle line of white pepper on the finish, along with fine length and balance. While already appealing, it has the depth and structure to age well over the next 15–20 years.

Fremiets is a respected Premier Cru site in Volnay, in the Côte de Beaune, where limestone-rich soils and a cool Burgundy climate help Pinot Noir retain freshness, perfume, and tension.
