Tasting Notes
In the glass, it presents a luminous pale gold hue. The nose is intense and refined, opening with citrus peel, white flowers and ripe pear, then unfolding into subtle toasted oak, honey, hazelnut and a flinty edge that speaks clearly of the site. The palate is beautifully structured, balancing freshness with a creamy, concentrated core. Notes of lemon, green apple, buttered richness, vanilla and toasted almond are carried by vibrant acidity and a long, saline finish with chalky mineral nuances. While immediately appealing, it has the depth to age gracefully for 10 to 15 years, developing more pronounced nutty, honeyed and tertiary complexity over time.

Production
Les Folatières is one of Puligny-Montrachet’s most prestigious Premier Cru vineyards, known for its cool, limestone-rich soils that give the wine its tension, finesse and mineral character. The grapes are typically harvested by hand and vinified with great care to preserve the purity of Chardonnay and the expressive character of the terroir, with measured oak use adding texture without overshadowing the vineyard’s precision.

Food & Serving
This wine is a superb match for lobster, sole meunière, truffle risotto, or refined poultry dishes with cream-based sauces. Serve it at around 10–12°C, and consider a short decant only if you want to open up its more restrained aromas in its youth.
