Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a brilliant golden hue that already hints at its concentration and depth. The nose is layered and expressive, unfolding with citrus, baked apple, toasted nuts, honey, and a pronounced mineral edge. On the palate, the wine is intense and concentrated, with a creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity and superb structure. Notes of butter, vanilla, and wet stone carry through the long, refined finish. This is a wine with outstanding aging potential, and it will continue to gain complexity and nuance over many years in bottle.

Production
The vines are grown in a highly prized Grand Cru terroir in Burgundy, where the limestone-rich soils and exceptional exposure help produce wines of both power and elegance. Domaine Leflaive works biodynamically, and the grapes are harvested with care to preserve purity and balance. Fermentation is natural, and the wine is aged in French oak barrels with a well-judged use of new wood to add depth and complexity without masking the character of the vineyard.

This is a superb match for refined dishes such as lobster, foie gras, truffle-based preparations, and mature cheeses. Serve chilled, ideally around 12–14°C, to allow the wine’s complexity to fully unfold. Decanting is recommended for the younger years of this vintage, especially if served relatively soon after release.
