Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, polished ruby color with the concentration expected from a Grand Cru Burgundy. The nose opens with ripe cherry, red berries, and a gentle, nutty oak character, layered with floral nuance and a touch of spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, silky yet structured, with balanced fruit, fine tannins, and a long, harmonious finish. This is a wine with excellent aging potential and will continue to gain complexity over many years. At the same time, the 2017 vintage already offers a highly enjoyable drinking experience now, with its balance and expressive fruit making it approachable without losing its Grand Cru seriousness.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure only the finest fruit enters the cellar. Depending on the vintage, 80-100% of the grapes are destemmed, and the wine is then aged for 16-20 months in oak barrels, with 60-100% new oak depending on the year. This measured élevage gives the wine added depth and texture while preserving the purity of the Burgundy terroir and the individuality of the Clos de Vougeot site.

Food & Serving
This Grand Cru Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with dishes such as roast duck, pigeon, veal, mushroom risotto, truffle pasta, and aged cheeses. Serve at around 16-18°C to allow the aromas and structure to open fully. Decanting for about 1-2 hours is recommended if drinking young, though older bottles should be handled more gently.
