Domaine Garon Côte-Rôtie Les Rochins 2018 is a striking Syrah from one of the Northern Rhône’s most revered appellations, sourced from an exceptional parcel on the Côte Brune, near the famed La Turque vineyard. It combines power and finesse in the classic Côte-Rôtie style, with a pedigree that speaks clearly of its outstanding terroir.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, насыщенный ruby core that hints at its concentration and depth. The nose is layered and expressive, with blackberries, cassis, violets, and a pronounced mineral edge, followed by subtle notes of liquorice and olives. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and richly textured, unfolding with black fruit, spice, and dark chocolate, supported by a touch of earthiness and a fresh mineral drive. The tannins are fine and well integrated, leading to a long, saline finish. With its balanced acidity and structure, Les Rochins has excellent aging potential and should develop further complexity over the next 5–10 years.

Production
Les Rochins comes from a prime site on the Côte Brune, where steep slopes and mineral-rich soils help produce Syrah of intensity, depth, and precision. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested at optimum ripeness, then vinified with a focus on preserving fruit purity and site expression before aging for 18 months in barriques, which adds complexity and polish without overwhelming the wine’s natural character.

Food & Serving
This is a superb partner for lamb, beef, and game, where its structure and savory depth can match rich, flavorful dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for one to two hours if drinking young to allow the aromatics and texture to fully open up.
